Rye Yacht Club

About the Club

Rye Yacht Club is a small, friendly, informal Club. It was formed in 1970 by a group of residents and regular visitors who had already established an informal pattern of yacht racing at Rye, and wanted to set up a proper facility for the local community to fully enjoy yachting and associated water activities. Today, about 70 per cent of members are local residents, and the Club is very actively involved in the local community. The Club operates an interesting and varied sailing and social programme throughout the season and visitors and new members are always welcome
