About the Club

The Latrobe Valley Yacht Club is located on the western shore of the Hazelwood Power Station cooling ponds.

The Club is surrounded by large grassed areas, picnic and BBQ facilities, aquatic hall, accessible toilets and camping facilities provided by the LaTrobe City Council. In between sails enjoy a kick of the footy, a game of cricket or simply lay back and soak up the surroundings.

The water temperature of the pondage is 24 degrees Celsius all year round, making the venue a favourite and ideal venue for many water sport enthusiasts. So bring along your bathers and go for a swim along the purpose built sandy beach.
