About the Club

The Sandy Bay Sailing Club is an Australian sailing organisation based in Sandy Bay, Tasmania. Situated on the picturesque Derwent River, the Club provides a friendly but competitive environment for its members. Formed on the 1st March 1948, the club has since grown to accommodate a wide range of dinghy classes such as International Cadets, International Lasers and International Optimists. The Club caters for sailors of all levels of experience and skill, from beginners to more advanced sailors.
