About the Club

Cairns Yacht Club was formed in 1908 as the Cairns Aquatic Club, and was changed in 1977 tothe CYC, when the Cairns Sailing Club and Tropical Catamran Club merged

It is the premier sailing club in Far North Queensland and boasts many National and State champions in many divisions

Our fleet is currently Sabot, Laser, Pacer, Vagabonds, Cats and Keelers

Currently about 600 members and situated on its own beach in the heart of Cairns on beautiful Trinity Inlet
