Wallagoot Lake Boat Club

About the Club

The pristine Wallagoot Lake is situated half way between Merimbula and Tathra.

The Wallagoot Lake Boat Club is located within Bournda National Park, managed by the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service who charge an entry fee of $7 per day. Members are issued with a sticker to provide exemption from this fee.

Toilets and picnic tables are provided by the NPWS, while the Club has a shower block and club room with kitchen.

All classes welcome: monohulls and multihulls, learners and veterans. The Club is famous for its easy-going and friendly atmosphere. Wallagoot Lake has an inlet to the sea, which is currently closed. The Lake level is deep enough to allow sailing of all types of dinghys, catamarans and trailer-sailors. Sailing School Every year for 3 weekends in a row, starting late January Wallagoot Lake Boat Club conducts a sailing school for anyone keen and willing to learn. This year was well attended by at least 10 learners and we have 3 regular sailors returning from that school. We have a Sabre and a Mirror Miracle dingy to learn on and are planning on acquiring some Pacer dinghys, so members can have a boat to sail if they do not own one. We look forward to teaching and seeing many more keen new sailors in our club to keep our fantastic sport in the spotlight.

The club is located on the Wallagoot Lake Road, off Saphire Coast Drive, between Merimbula and Tathra, NSW.

All classes welcome: monohulls and multihulls, learners and veterans. The Club runs a Sabre series
