About the Club
The Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania was founded in Hobart in 1880 and is now one of Australia's premiere yacht clubs. The Club has a proud tradition of competitiveness on the water and an equally strong tradition of hospitality to all visitors to the beautiful clubhouse on the waterfront and its superb facilities for yachts and their crews. The Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania is the receiving club for the blue water classic Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race. It also conducts a range of local events on the River Derwent, including national and international titles.
