About the Club

The South Lake Macquarie Amateur Sailing Club is located on the western side of Lake Macquarie. The club sails numerous yachts, dinghies and multihulls.

Activity Days Sundays, twilight racing for yachts every Friday during daylight saving

Club Activities:
Junior learn to sail classes - Sabots Dinghy and yacht racing Hosting numerous State, National and World Titles Social evenings
Open times:
All day Sundays and every day whilst hosting titles and regattas

The club was founded in 1948 as a VJ club, Sabots were introduced in 1966 and other classes in later years, yachts were accepted in 1991. Club sailors have won many State and National titles.

We enjoy hosting State, National and World Titles for various classes & all or visitors are greatly impressed with the venue & the efficiency of the organisation both on & off the water. The club has a history of being a family oriented, friendly club.
