Welcome to Illawarra Yacht Club Limited

Overlooking the pristine waters of Lake Illawarra, just an hours drive form Sydney, the Illawara Yacht Club offers superb facilities for not only boating enthusiasts, but also anyone that wants a friendly environment, fine dining and entertainment on a romantic setting.

Operating for over 50 years, The Illawarra Yacht Club has become the “place to be seen” when visiting the Illawarra. The Illawarra Yacht club has the advantage of being the only club in the Illawarra that is completely located on the edge of the Lake, thus ensuring a view so splendid we had to build two function rooms to cater for the demand.

Affectionately known as the “Yachtie” to the locals, The Illawarra yacht club offers a broad range of activities to keep every patron happy. Our restaurant offers a variedb range fantastic cuisine to suit any budget, over superb water views, and our members and guests can indulge in a variety of activities for entertainment. Everybody is welcome, including children. We have a wonderful outdoor park to come the young ones happy, and an indoor play area where younger children will be remain happy in the restaurant area. Most parents find it comforting to be able to see their toddlers at play whilst entertaining.

The club boasts an active round of social and competitive sailing as well as regular social and entertainment events. Our poker machines are state of the art, and our staff pride themselves on being the friendliest team in Wollongong.

The Illawarra Yacht Club is an active family recreational facility and a thriving enterprise under professional Management with over 1000 members, luxury function rooms, board rooms and a courtesy bus to drive you home or to your accomodation.
New members are welcome as The Illawarra Yacht Club is a rapidly developing new Club, which is already the premier water sports Club of the Illawarra.
