About the Club
The YMCA Sailing Club Of Canberra sails along the shores of Yarralumla Bay on Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra. The club is run as a non-profit organisation by a team of enthusiastic volunteers. The club runs a series of races, offers training.
YMCASC and Accessible Sailing
The Club is noted for the fact that it caters for sailors with disabilities. The club currently has six specially designed dinghies and other club facilities have been designed or modified to be accessible by sailors with disabilities. As a result, the YMCASC was been chosen as the venue for the 2000 Access Dinghy National Championships.
