About the Club
The Canberra Cruising Yacht Association is the cruising division of the Cruising Yacht Club. The emphasis of the club is on recreational sailing on Lake Burley Griffin and cruising trips to a variety of locations within reasonable distance of Canberra.
In conjunction with the Canberra Yacht club the CCYA hosts the annual ACT Trailable Yacht Championship each year in January. The club sails on Lake Burley Griffin, St. Georges Basin, Mallacoota Lakes, Hawkesbury Dam and Wyangala Dam.
