The International Cadet is Australias premier junior class with good fleets sailing in Tasmania, Victoria and South Australia. 2001 marks the 50th anniversary of the class in Australia.
The Class is for juniors under eighteen years of age and as the Class is sailed in 12 countries around the world, thus offering juniors the opportunity to compete in International regattas. The Cadet is a double-handed boat, complete with mainsail, jib and spinnaker. It is a typical training class for youths who want to sail a double-handed boat
