14 Class photo: Canadian Dinghy Assn. |
The International 14 is a high performance 2-Man, Dual-Trapeze, Asymmetrical Spinnaker Dinghy. The International 14 racing dinghy can trace its International Class history back over 71 years.
The class pioneered the single trapeze and added the twin trapeze in 1984 to increase the sail carrying power and ease the handling of the huge asymmetric spinnakers.
The class is continually experimenting with new innovations to improve boat speed or performance, making the 1-14 a pioneer in small boat excellence.
The class continues to grow with the help of off the shelf 'skiff' designs.
