The 125 is a 12.5 foot (3.83 m) two person intermediate sailing dinghy with spinnaker and trapeze. 

The design appeals to the person who likes to sail without going overboard on costs. It is the ideal craft for the budget conscious and is ideal for family sailing and family involvement. 

The name of the 125 came from the length of the hull, being twelve point five feet long 

There are 125s sailing in all states of Australia.

1969	Proto-type built by Mr. Simon Grieg, trading as Blockey The Boat Builder
1970	Boat offered in kit form
1972	Blockey gave 125 copyright to John Coomer for use by any association that could be formed.
1972	The 125 exhibited in the Boat show
1975	Rules set to ensure the class remained a one-design class with boats numbering 400 or less.
1977	The first Inaugural National Championships held at Black Rock Yacht Club in Victoria.
1990	Production of a fibreglass hull.
